I LOVE using nail stickers, ever since I saw you post a few. I always put them on the back of my hand and let them dry overnight before doing the stickers. Great tips 🙂
Very informative! Thanks for the info. I usually find its helpful to watch a movie or television show while I do my nails. This way they have time to dry and I don't get to antsy to move and end up smudging them or something.
My main problem is the crisp lines. I remove them right away, and they still aren't crisp sometimes! I think it's possible that, sometimes, the stickers get air bubbles(??!) when I put them on my nail, and the paint sometimes seeps through. It's the bane of my existence. It happens on at least 2-3 nails every time I use nail stickers (however, now that I've identified the problem, my nails will probably look better from now on).
Thanks for these tips! I really love your nails and am always so envious! It seems like such an easy thing to do, but if you haven't done it before— well you catch what I'm getting at!
Yay! I love using these nail stickers and I found out most of this through just trial and error. I usually do my base (lightest) color, then a coat of Seche Vite and let dry overnight. Then I do my design the next day. And the stickers do tend to bubble up if you put a bunch of coats over them, so the ones that cover in one coat are best. That way, you get the really crisp lines. My favorite place to pick up good, cheap polish is in Ulta's clearance section. They have a lot of good brands (OPI, Essie, Zoya) marked at half price. Also Target occasionally gives out coupons for Sally Hansen nail polish, so that really helps too.
I love the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure colours. Over here in the UK we have "Pound" shops (it's the equivalent to your "Dollar" stores) which I've found quite a few bottles hidden away in the cosmetic aisle! (I'm currently rocking 'Cherry, Cherry, Bang, Bang' & 'Ion').
Thank you so much for this post!! I've been trying to do this for a long time, but it always peels up…I usually wait enough time, but maybe I have to leave them even longer. Will see how it works out next time 🙂
i loooooooove those nail stickers! i've watched that video a few times when i need a reminder, or just a laugh! i usually paint my first coat at night, then do the next one the next morning. and i ALWAYS have to put them on the back of my hand first. they are way too sticky otherwise. i get so many compliments on them too. no one ever believes me when i say how easy it is!

Love your demonstration of what stickers make which design.
The nail stickers were so cute.
