fog

by Kaylah Stroup
One of my favorite things to shoot is fog. The opportunity rarely arises for me, I think the last time I took fog pictures I really loved was way back in 2012. (See here, they’re still some of my favorites!) Last week on the way over to Jeff’s place I saw it was pretty foggy at the park. We had planned an evening of working, me on the blog and him editing photos, but I guess neither of us could resist the fog so we headed out to the lake.

I feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful city, to be right on the lake and surrounded with so many great parks! Cleveland rocks.

I do love the fog. It gets really dense here so I think next time I might have to pop out and get some photos.

Woweee check them out! These are beautiful photos and you are one talented lady. It's almost time for foggy mornings where I live. Gonna whip out the ol' camera when the time comes around, I think!

These are so striking. I wish I had a more eloquent comment than that, but it's hard to find words to do these justice.

These are so lovely, it's awesome how ethereal (and a little bit spooky) places can look when it's foggy. I really like the spider webs, they look so pretty!

Wow, that's impressive. I recently purchased a Canon 70D so I can't wait until my skill is such that I can capture beauty such as this.

I bet you'd like San Francisco (for lots of reasons, one being that they do have fabulously foggy days, along with classic foghorns)!!

Fog
BY CARL SANDBURG

The fog comes
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

These pictures are so gloomy but in a really cool way. Everyone is so quick to photograph flowers and spring things but I really love photographs of groggy weather 🙂

Amazing photos. Especially loving the spider webs and the leaves framing the trees in the last photo. I never realized how fog adds such a mystique to photos.
