This year I…

by Kaylah Stroup
became a city girl!
got a cozy little place to call my own.

traveled more than I’ve ever traveled before.
fell madly in love.
spent more money on photobooth pictures than I want to think about + managed to convince the lead singer of my favorite band to get in a photobooth with me.
made one of my best purchases ever.
explored oodles of forgotten structures.
dyed my hair a bunch of beautiful colors.
saw my city from vantage points most will never experience, some high…
and others low…
above photo by Jeff
collected more and more plants.
watched the sun rise in a ghost town in the middle of the desert.
rode a jackalope.

above photo by Mickey
ate more macarons than I’ll admit to.

saw wild horses for the first time ever.
ran into dinosaurs just about everywhere I traveled.
made pretty pictures from trash.
picked up a relaxing new hobby.
 rappelled in a cave!
 above photo by Jeff
slept in a wigwam, more than once.
swam in the ocean in February.
above photo by Mickey.
started to get the hang of night photography.

And oh so much more!
xoxo

What a fun post. I wish i had thought to do this as well… One of my goals for next year is to actively take more photos instead of getting nervous and opting out. I used to be so brazen with a camera, I don't know what my problem is. haha. Lovely photos. <3

Kaylah December 29, 2014 - 9:41 pm

Wow, you've done so many cool things. The pictures were amazing,my favorite has to be a tie between the picture of the ghost town and the art made of trash.

Looks like 2014 was very good to you. 🙂
I'd be so scared of climbing that cave; basically for my fear of the dark and heights. hahah
Hope the new year is just as good, possibly even better. To more adventures!

I can't believe you rode a jackalope and all I did was stand next to a dinosaur in a sombrero… clearly I need to get more creative with my photo poses! It didn't even occur to me to hop on any of 'em!

Kaylah December 31, 2014 - 12:27 pm

Hahaha! Well, I mean, I couldn't not get on the jackalope! Guess you better head back to South of the Border! 😛
