One of my 2016 goals is to send 150 pieces of mail, and I want to absolutely kill this goal by greatly surpassing it. I need your help to do so though! I mean, I can only send my boyfriend so many cards before things start to get creepy. I know there are more than a few of y’all out there that are snail mail fanatics, and even more of ya that want to send more mail but need a little motivation.
In 2014 I made a mail related goal as well (which I totally accomplished!) I had a form up for people to fill out their address. Within no time there was an overwhelming number of responses. I worked my way through most of the list by the end of the year but sadly many of the people never responded. This year to avoid that I’m just asking that anyone who wants to exchange mail writes me first. I really want this to be successful! I’m not only looking to send out lots of mail but hopefully make a few friends in the process.
I’m looking for folks who want to send postcards just to say “Hello!”,
or share a bag of their favorite tea! People who will mail me photos of
their pets, and be totally stoked to get the same in return. People who like weird postcards, and mail celebrating random holidays that no one actually celebrates! Anyone who
likes to send and receive mail, I’m looking at you!
I need to be upfront about a few things. One – I stink at responding to letters…big time. I’d rather write up eighty postcards in a row than respond to one letter. As I’m sure you’ve noticed, I’m not huge on writing a lot on the blog, and that carries over to snail mail. Please keep it relatively short and sweet. Two – I will definitely be a lot slower at responding to anything outside the US. I don’t keep international stamps on hand (those darn things are expensive!) but I will get back to you, just not super quickly.
Still wanna be my postcard pal? Awesome! You can write to me at:
PO Box 770707
Lakewood, OH 44107
I’m looking forward to making new pals, sending out postcards, and crossing off my goal!
One more thing – please, please, please make sure to write your return address very neatly, especially if you’re outside of the US. I can’t respond if I can’t read your address.
