Barkbox Review

by Kaylah Stroup
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of BarkBox. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’ve always really loved buying Klaus toys because his excitement is so obvious. This is a dog who truly appreciates the fact that I bought something for him, or at least it seems like it. Unlike my cats who literally couldn’t care less about getting presents that aren’t edible. Needless to say, when Barkbox reached out to see if Klaus would like to do a review I jumped on the chance.

Let’s do a quick run down of what BarkBox is and what they offer; BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs of all sizes. Each box comes with two bags of treats, one chew, and two toys. Everything is tied together with a theme. All the treats are natural and made in the US or Canada. BarkBox is billed monthly, and decreases in price if you commit to 6 or 12 month plan. You also have the option to join the Extra Toy Club for an additional $9 per month. The first box ships right away and subsequent boxes ship on the 15th of each month.

Klaus getting a whole box of things was the absolute cutest! He would take a toy, run over to the other side of the living room, set it down, and run back to see what else we had for him. The box he received was New York City themed. Actually “Poo York City!” I really enjoyed all the silly plays on words found in the box. “Pawsonalize.” “Guaranpeed.” “Barkefeller Center.” So cute! He’s not picky about treats so it was no surprise that he loved those (As seen in one of the photos above, Professor was also very interested in the bag of treats. A few days later he would rip open the bag and try to steal them.) The toys were a huge hit too. I’ve mentioned in the past how much Klaus loves squeaky toys so I was stoked to find that both of the toys in his box had squeakers.

I was a little bit worried about the toys not holding up for very long though. Klaus is a selective toy destroyer meaning there are toys that he shreds immediately but something of a similar quality might last for months for no particular reason. It’s been about a couple weeks, and surprisingly enough he hasn’t destroyed either toy. Even better new is that he found a new favorite toy, a ball shaped like the statue of liberty. He literally carries it everywhere, and is constantly placing it on my arm in hopes that I’ll try to steal it from him. Mmm. I love soggy toys. He is currently laying beside me on the couch with that ball under his chin. When he finally does destroy that toy I can actually buy him another from the BarkShop, which is a way to purchase toys and treats without the subscription.

Klaus really, really enjoyed the whole experience. So much so that I would honestly feel guilty not doing this for him every month. Barkbox was hit! At the risk of sounding cliche, and using the same silly phrase probably everyone who has ever written a review has said, I think Klaus would give it two paws up! xoxo

This was so cute to read! Your fur babies are beautiful, I love how into all the goodies they are. Each capture of their expressions are perfect. Professor’s bow tie, love it! This looks like such a cool subscription!

I love BarkBox! I get it with an extra toy each month because I have three dogs but it’s totally worth it. They know that it’s their box when it comes (they must be able to smell it) and shred it open with their mouths, lol. The Statue of Liberty ball is one of my dogs favorites too! I could never cancel it, either – the look of excitement on their faces just makes ME so happy!!

i’ve been receiving barkbox for a couple years for my dog mance – he loves all of the toys and treats! while he isn’t a destroyer of toys (and i almost wish he was as we have SO many dog toys these days) – you are able to change your subscription to “heavy chewer” and receive more durable toys. we also went through a phase when the vet suggested mance not eat fowl or beef and bark box was able to give us treats that avoided those! they are so accommodating and i have hooked so many of my friends onto them for their pets. great review and a high five to klaus and the kitties!

Haha! Klaus is a destroyer and still have a boatload of toys. Spoiled pups all around!
