A while back in my Friday Favorites I featured a dress from the brand CowCow and mentioned how I wanted to pick one up eventually. They’re cheap, they have pretty awesome reviews, and the biggest selling point for me is the fact that they offer really unique prints. Basically anything you can think of, they have it on a dress. Mushrooms, sushi, bees, bats, and so on! I was leaning toward bats until I found this beetle dress, and felt compelled to purchase immediately. It comes in a variety of different colors but the ‘beige’ one seemed like it’d be the easiest color to pair with other things. This dress is definitely white, not beige. No idea whats up with that!
A few things to note if you want to purchase one of these dresses – I’m fairly tall so this dress is a bit short on me. Nothing a pair of stretchy shorts underneath or tights in cooler months can’t solve though. I also would recommend possibly sizing up if you have large breasts. Some reviews noted that the pattern stretched out in that area but my issue was actually with the length of the dress. In the front its much shorter because of my boobs. I almost feel dumb mentioning that because… well, duh, it should be obvious that its going to take more fabric to cover them babies. Its just that I don’t really notice it with any of my other clothes but I feel like this dress is significantly shorter in the front because of my boobs.
Those things aside, I feel like this was a solid buy! I only wish I could find more clothes covered in beetles…

Oh man!!!! I freakin’ love this dress and its so pretty on you. I only have one dress with bugs on it, but fir someone so into bugs and reptiles I definitely need to invest in owning more!!! I will definitely be checking out CowCow soon 😁
Where’s the bug dress you have from?! I need more too!
How is the fabric? I usually was iffy about buying these dresses because I was worried that the fabric was so synthetic that it would just become uncomfortable after a while of wear. I have to admit, these prints are WAY too cute for me not to be tempted. I’d love to get 5 or 6 for just ever day wear!
I think its super comfy material! I especially like that it never needs ironed.
that’s a super cute dress and reasonably priced! How tall are you btw? I’m about 5’7 so that’s good to know it might be a little short in the front.
I’m the same height – at least I was last time I was at the doctor sooo I might be another inch or so taller.
That wasn’t very helpful, was it? 😛
Haha it was! Thank you 😊
Now I gotta decide which dress to buy!
Yes! I love this! I remember when you mentioned them before. I fell in love with their dinosaur dresses and I think I’m finally going to buy one! I really like the beetle one, too, surprisingly, given that I hate bugs….Anyway, thanks for following up now that you got one!
🙂
Also, don’t these remind you of Ms. Frizzle?!
Yes! Hahah!
Such a great dress!! Too bad they are so expensive on the Canadian site! $20 on amazon.com and $50+ on amazon.ca. Oh well. Just means I won’t be getting a cats in space dress anytime soon 😉
Whaaaat?! That’s crazy pants!
[…] post what I wore : beetle dress appeared first on THE DAINTY […]
Really fun! I just love those shoes! Every time you wear them I’m like 😍😍😍
Aren’t they sooooo ca-yooot!? I wish I had a black pair too.
That’s an awesome dress! It would be so hard to decide on a print.. I’d probably have to go with the sushi one though!
There are just too many good prints!!
