project 365 : days 114 – 120

by Kaylah Stroup

114 : 365 Just a crazy catnip kitten.

115 : 365 Beach glass finds for the day. So many tiny blue pieces, and unique shades of green. I even managed to find a yellow, and two reds. I’d call it a successful trip to the beach.

116 : 365 My favorite plant, and an obvious favorite photo subject when I’ve got nothing else.

117 : 365 Water thief.

118 : 365 Last Friday of the month means one thing – Critical Mass! Literally the best day of the month, every month. My brother and his family came up to Cleveland and joined us for the ride. It was a blast. I was super nervous because it was raining right up until starting time. It stopped long enough for us to get in nearly ten miles though, and the rain only picked up again as we got back to our cars. Talk about perfect timing! Also, check out that shark horn. My bike is so snazzy.

119 : 365 My air plant is getting some color to it!

120 : 365 A peek at my office. I’m dying to shoot, and share more photos of this room but I desperately need to buy a frame for a massive print I have. It’s kind of the star piece in the room but it’s driving me nuts that it isn’t framed. Not only is it super large but the print is also a funny size so it’s going to be super expensive and I’m just dreading spending the money.

Happy Monday!
xoxo

crown molding is a cheap and easy way to frame a giant oddly shaped piece, its what we do with canvases.

Kaylah, I just realized your favorite plant is one of the many plants I have learned the name of (current favorite hobby) since moving to California! It’s called ‘fire sticks’ because in the winter/spring they change to beautiful red, orange, and yellow colors.. Is yours starting to change or is that a rainbow? 🙂

What you see in the photo is part of a rainbow buuuut since taking that photo its started to change! I actually have a similar plant that is a slightly different variety and when I realized it didn’t change colors I specifically hunted this one down so I could enjoy that aspect of growing it. It had a little bit of color last year but I’m looking forward to watching it change this year!

I also recommend building your own frame! I have a large map of Texas (46″ x 50″) and I just went to Home Depot, bought the wood needed and made the frame. The only downside is there’s no glass/plastic to protect the print but it’s really not noticeable.

I was wondering what people did about protecting the print! Hmmm…
