feelin’ myself

Every year I do a round up of my favorite outfits from the year, and of course, I’m back to do it again this year. I had lots of favorites this year. Despite a slow start, I’ve been feeling pretty on top of outfit posts recently. It finally feels like I’ve gotten back into the swing of them for the first time since …2013? Back then I was posting them at least twice a week which definitely hasn’t been the case in quite a while. Maybe 2018 will be the year?! They’re just silly outfits, nothing ground breaking, but I really do love taking them. I love documenting my style, and it’s fun to watch my hair change – even if I did keep it the same color most of the year! Who am I!?

some loooovely outtakes from 2017

In 2017 I realized how much I love rompers, wore more black and white striped items of clothing than I can count, and even found a ridiculous beetle covered dress! I continued to rely on my ‘good side’ making it appear as there is always something interesting to the right of me. I discovered a new favorite place to take outfit photos (all but two photos in this post were taken in the same spot!) and finally got comfortable enough in front of the camera that I let Jeff take my photos for the blog. Golly, what help that’s been!  I talked a bit about sharing outfit posts can be scary and even wrote about a little note to self about beauty. It was a good year!

  • I love all your outfits and the fact you think you only have one good side! Reading that, though, is really interesting because I don’t even notice you always look to the side, like, at all?! I just look at you and wonder how you always look so cute in pictures!
Your style is always an inspiration so please never stop! 😛

  • I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the yellow in your hair! Beautiful!
Hey have you collected any ‘Owl pellets’ ??? ( You love bones and oddities.) It is supposed to be filled with minuscule mouse bones and they are clean and bleached white from the stomach acid. They are not for me, but I thought of you immediately when I saw some artists discussing it. If you get one or find one, please post a photo.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I adopted 2 more fur-kids. One kitten at Thanksgiving who had been left in a box with her siblings at the park. Grrrrrrrr!! A 4 year old cat right before Christmas, that was found in a cage outside the Humane Society one day as employees showed up for work. They don’t know how long the poor thing was out there because they don’t open until 11a.m. GRRRRR! They are safe, warm, full, and loved to bits. I tell them all day long how blessed I am to have them. I have 6 dogs and 5 cats now. It always feel I should do more but financially I have reached my limit. I love your blog,
Your oldest fan, Bonnie in MN

    • Thank you so much, Bonnie!

I haven’t! I dissected one in school but I don’t really remember much about it. I’ve been meaning to buy some for my nieces though, I think they’d be really into it. If I do, I’ll definitely share some photos.

Aw, I’m so glad there are people like you in the world! Congrats on your new fur babies! That sounds like a pretty good Christmas gift. 🙂
